Just wondering if anyone has kept up with other blog/message sites within our division. Many have stated that the Ravens will win the division. Without being a homer, I still worry about the Bengals (when everybody gets out of jail). Any thoughts?

This isn't responsive to your question, but I'll ask it anyway. For those of us who are tech challenged: what's the difference between a "blog" and a message board? They are both opinion forums, correct? How different? :229031_confused2:
And the term "message sites" - ???? :229031_confused2:

If you've ever gone to a 12 Step meeting, you'll know that sometimes there is a speaker who will tell his story for 30 minutes and then answer questions from the audience, and at other meetings it's an open meeting where everyone can raise their hand and speak about whatever it is that's on their mind that day.
That's the difference. A blog has a speaker who posts an article whenever he feels like it and we can leave a comment if we so desire. A forum is an open meeting where any of us can start a post and respond to each other and not just the blogger.
Incidentally the term "message board" comes from the late 80's, early 90's when there was no internet and instead only "bulletin boards" where you dialed just as if you were calling their house and once connected, could read all the other posts and then post something in response or start your own post. "Message site" is normally a misnomer since most internet sites have much more content than just a message board.

Yeah its kinda like tony's Blog on here...a blog is more of an article/diary/etc someone writes they opinions and observations. Some have a comment section but not all. The forums are more open.
p.s. I got my first modem in 1984, atari 800xl, 300baud modem and connected to message boards, compuserve. Its come a long way.

Think of a blog as a personal diary on the web. Author controls all, even whether or not comments are permitted.
From the right people it's a very fast way to get information/news/stories out. But there is way too much heat and not enough light on the thousands of blog sites authored by people who know virtually nothing but have an opinion :-)

Hey there awalt. How's it going?
Anyway....
Blog is web log and is, as other have said, like a diary or 'log' that others can respond to. Tony has a blog on the front of the site. It is clearly different to a message board.
The prevalence of blogs (IMO) is because Google weights them pretty high when it does its site rankings so a lot of folks start blogs just to promote their company or business and link the business in. Google likes that.
