It was SOOOO beautiful watching the missed FG! We all knew, here in Balmer, that that was more than likely going to be a miss! Even though there were several key points to the game... off side kick and recovery to start the half, and the pick six... to me, THAT was the real turning point, when they did not score on that drive!...
So.... Matt comes through for us again... maybe, maybe not the last time ever! And maybe, just maybe, we have heard the end of the "big mistake not re-signing Stover" palaver!

I thought the exact same thing when it happened, Rochardrik.
I was sitting there with Nicki and Breean going, "Come on Stover, you've never let us down before."
His place in the RoH is assured.

come on. everyone this side of Annapolis knows Stover is automatic inside 45 yards. When Caldwell sent him out there I said is this 48-49 yards? When they said 51 I was thinking that he was gonna pull it trying to give it extra distance. He was set up. I hope he kicks next year for some team cause he shouldn't go out like that. Maybe he should have retired with his last meaningful kick going threw the uprights in Tennessee.

What were the Colts thinking? They should have known his history of what he can and cannot do. He probably pulled the ball a little to the left because he had to give the ball extra ummph to get the distance.
To his credit, he just missed it by a small margin, but a miss is a miss.
I was not rooting for the Colts in any way, shape or fashion, even though I thought they would win. I like Matt, but he was playing for the enemy so I could not root for him to make the kick. Hopefully, he will play for another team that I don't care about.

Well, I beg to disagree - hopefully, he will play again for the Ravens!!

What did Cundiff (who is 13 years younger than Stover) not do this season to earn the job next season?

The irony was that Hartley reminded me of our Younger Matt Stover when he made those kicks.
Interesting that the punter Morestead also did the kickoffs, so the Saints didn't need 2 roster spots.
But Matt? I got nothing but well wishes for him. Don't think the missed kick will hurt anything, those who know (like all Raven fans), know he doesn't have accurate distance anymore, and it was great seeing the miss help the irsays lose, but also in a way that doesn't hurt Matt like a 30yder would have.

Every Ravens fan knows that 51 yards is out of his range. They should of punted and give NO the long field. I am happy NO won, and that miss helped, but the play calling that lead to that 51 yard FG attempt was bad.
