I am curious if there is a consensus of a sportswriter/talker/analyst/etc that Baltimore likes?

This particular board rails on Preston, Nestor, Anita, constantly and many of the others are also seen in a negative light. Who does Baltimore like? Based on the comments seen here alone, I would say no one.

Could we reach an 85% approval rating on any one individual who either writes, talks or in someway analysis Baltimore sports?

First who are the contestants and are you  or  on them?

No explanations needed.

Just a simple  or

For example;

Preston-
Marks-
BullDawg-
Viviano-

etc.

I think I agree.
Bruce and Mike make a decent team, but not incredibly crazy abotu either alone.

I like Bulldog and Viv as a team as well. Bulldog is a bit over the top with the BL football = NFL talk, but otherwise it's certainly tolerable.

Whew - Baltimore sports media is a train-wreck for the most part, isn't it? With a few exceptions, it really is a collection of faux-talents not worth wasting my brain-matter on.

Sports radio should sound like Dan Patrick or Scott Van Pelt's shows, IMHO of course. They are the two best on the radio for my money. Informed, witty, and socially relevant. I'll listen to either over anything on the local airwaves. It's tough to find a Baltimore-based show accomplishes all of these things. Way too much time is devoted to the that travesty at Camden Yards when guys like Lebron James, Kevin Durant and Carmello Anthony are walking the earth. And I grew up a die-hard Orioles fan.

If anyone comes close, it's Rob Long. He's knowledgeable yet practical, and I appreciate that. Keith Mills does a nice job as well.

Aaron Wilson, as well as Jamison Hensley, Edward Lee, and Ken Murray at the Sun all do fine work. All honest, thorough, connected, unbiased investigators. Each are terrific resources for accurate information.

Dev Panchwagh and Brian McFarland are the two best in their respective analytical reports - Panchwagh in terms of Xs and Os, McFarland for statistical analysis.

Beyond that, I'll be kind and just say there's room for improvement.

EDIT: Sorry Galen, I just realized that I crushed your format. How about a blanket :grbac: to sum up my feelings in general?

I agree with almost everything except alot of NBA talk.

SVP is the best. He needs Cowherd's slot.

:grbac: is the perfect way to describe Baltimore sports talk radio.

What I think this town needs is a guy who really speaks his mind and doesn't mind hanging up on callers when they are clueless and just mindlessly rambling about ridiculous crap.
