RavenScallywag
12-20-2009, 04:41 PM
The biggest takeaway so far...this team is starting fast! Yes, it's the Bears, yes this was kind've a cake matchup. but the way we start a game has been the BIGGEST problem all year. If we start fast against better teams, we should be able to hang around in the playoffs.
Also if we can put this game away quickly, there was talk about GB/Pitt game taking a LOT out of Steelers this week, so we can rest our starters and have them nice and strong for the game next week, whereas they will have to battle til the end likely.
StingerNLG
12-20-2009, 04:58 PM
Ok, I hope this drive is just the Ravens needing to adjust to the Bears running game, because I do NOT like the yards that the defense is giving up on the run.
Especially letting Cutler run up the middle for two 1st downs? Nononono, tighten this shit up NOW.
Lee Van Cleef
12-20-2009, 05:02 PM
Bears are controlling the LOS. No disruption letting Forte get easy 3-4 yards a pop and lanes are forming for Cutler to escape the pocket upfield.

commentators sound very Pro-Bears...saying this "brings them one score away from tying it" and "This could give them the emotional lift to come back...Harbaugh still needs to challenge his players to come back from this"
It was one friggin TD! We scored two on back to back offensive drives. BS.

In all fairness, our defense let them into the RZ twice just running the ball on us. If Cutler wasn't such a bonehead this could be very different.

The announcers don't sound pro-Bears at all. The sound like their trying to talk about the game and that punt return does pull the Bears to within one TD of tying the score.
Every ime the announcers talk about the other team does not mean that they are anti-Ravens.

Imm not mad at the playcalling there but you have to execute... We didn't even block anybody and then a shitty punt and even shittier tackling.

Started fast on offense with clinical precision.
Started slow on defense with 2 big plays stopping the Bears.
Now the whole team looks kind of lethargic.

I'm not quite sure how I am feeling about this game right now. We started great, and then it looks like we started to fall asleep.
Does Cam have no confidence in Flacco on the goalline? 3 runs doesn't get it done.
Hopefully some good second half adjustments and we'll steamroll.
Denver may lose against the Raiders, and that would put us in the 5 seed.

He's hitting those routes to the outside beautifully.
My favourite moment of that drive came via replay, on the 3rd down conversion to Mason. During the play as he saw Mason get open he was smiling like he was posing for a clothing catalogue. Awesome.

I live in Waldorf Sting. Way south of BMore, and DC for that matter. Comcast's guide said Bears at Ravens, but instead its showing Eagles and 49ers. So I'm watching Cincy and SD.

31-7. Good day for the Blackbirds. Now if somehow Oakland holds on, SD squeaks by Cincy, and Green Bay comes back, it could be a REALLY good day.
As is, the Ravens have an almost locked tight spot on the wildcard. Because of today's results, I think if Jacksonville loses 1 more time, and we win next week, I think we might clinch a spot - virtually anyway. We'd still need New England to win 1 more game. Alternatively, if Jax loses and Pit loses another game, we could just win the Oakland game and make it.

Just watched the DWill TD highlight. Thats it. He should start the rest of the season regardless of Clayton's health.
