This is big for the city and the Ravens. We get the game in 2014 and 2016. Not as soon or as much as I'd like, but it's pretty good. Anything to boost Baltimore nationally as well as the Ravens.

Only two of the eight games awarded to Baltimore? Disappointing ... based on the hints that were provided a few weeks ago, I had thought that the 2012 game was headed to our stadium. I guess the lure of 20,000 extra obstructed view seats was too much for the service academies to avoid whoring themselves to play in the worst located new stadium in the country.

But I do love seeing New Jersey getting skunked. :happyanim They deserve it: spending a billion dollars on a stadium over the Hackensack dump and Mafia bodies, and not being able to afford a removable roof.

Army Athletic Director Kevin Anderson could not be reached for comment. He said in a prepared statement that the academies "are excited about bringing the game back to Philadelphia and Baltimore, and for the first time, holding the game in our nation's capital."

Raljon/Landover is now the "Nation's Capital (http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/college/football/bal-navy0609,0,6382514.story)"? :229031_confused2: What a douchebag! :ref:

Great News, that gives me 5 years to start donating $ to earn points for better seats! Althought in 2007 i made one donation and got great lower level seats on the 15 yd line about 20rows back. Cant wait.

You might consider the alternative of buying Navy season tickets. They are 1/2 or better than Ravens tickets. Perhaps 90% of Navy's tickets are along the sidelines, and the NAAA tries to match up your season ticket seat location for Army-Navy games. I have always gotten good seats to Army-Navy this way.

In 2007 when we had the game here, i looked into joining the Blue and Gold club, but by the time my friends decided yes, they had sold out of their alottement, so i went to the enemy..hehe I joined the Army A-club, and got great seats, 8 together lower level for face value + donation, also on the sunny side of the stadium. (navy had the shady side) SO ill be doing that again. The Ravens "deal" is very expenisive since they charge you for the tailgate tent and you can get them cheaper.

It's also notable that 2014 will be the bicentennial of FSK's penning of the Star Spangled Banner!

Luckily, if I'm not deployed to some far-flung corner of the globe helping fight the GWOT, I'll be able to gain access to the Navy sideline!

I was on the field for the 100th Army-Navy game and the turf at the Vet nearly tore my right ACL! Last time it was in Baltimore I was in Iraq, so I'm really looking forward to being there in 2014!

GO NAVY, BEAT ARMY!!!:ww:

If you can't gain access to the sideline, give me a shout (possibly at the retirement home where they'll be stashing me :grbac: ) and I'll get you a ticket ... you can count on it!
