Today it has been annnouced that Comcast and the NFL network have agreed to a new long tem agreement. Peter King wrote an article with great insight on the situation there is a link

The internal Communications outline the same deal. It has been finalized hopefully this means that they will remove the scroll from the top of the screen and the universe can return to normal. I know everyone still hates comcast. It's funny now it will cost more for NFL network because of this deal. Before it was on a $5-$7 sports package that everyone complaigns about, now it is on a $17 digital teir and everyone is happy. I guess that is everyone except those with basic cable and the sports package. They will have to up their bill. But atleast the deal is done. :141847_bdmoon:

Comcast’s on demand service will bring Digital Classic customers:

Game highlights;
Game replays;
The best of NFL Films;
Player and coaches interviews;
Local team highlights, and more.

If NFL Network moves ahead with its plans to create a RedZone Channel, Comcast will have the ability to carry it. The NFL Network has not announced plans for when the channel will be created, but Comcast is pleased they have the rights to provide it to their customes

I like it, now it is with my package and when they come out with the redzone channel it will be great.

:banana: Also reported today, ESPN U will be availble later this summer on Comcast. Providing college football, baseball, lacrosse and so on. THis is huge the Baltimore/DC Markets as NCAA lacrosse is only on the 'U'.

Also ESPN 360 will become available to all comcast internet customers for free threw comcast.net go to http://www.comcast.net for all the details.

And a correction to the ealier post. The NFL network will still be available on the $7 package if you do not get the bigger digital pack. So basic customers are not stuck with a huge bill.:banana:

That is awsome, I have wanted ESPN U forever, and 360 is is great come football season. The best part is there is no increase in the classic price, hreat moves all around.

I think it is funny how quiet all the haters are being. I guess they realize at least in this instance that Comcast did right by it's customers.

Or a couple people are on vacation.

Can someone explain what this "Digital Tier" is where it comes with your service?

I have Digital Cable, HD on 2 boxes, DVR service, Internet all with Comcast and NFL channel still says it's a subscription service.

Comcast always finds a way to screw things up.

Maybe they made good on the NFLN debacle, but that doesnt erase their putrid customer service in every other facet of their business.

Got AT&T FiOS 3 months ago and the difference is like going from TJ Maxx to a Nordstrom.
