and the Ravens didn't get one, as was expected.

New England got a few, including the first compensatory pick awarded at the end of the third round. They have six (I believe) picks in the first three rounds.

The Bengals got four.

We'll get some next year for losing Scott & Leonard.

and Brown. Maybe Ivy. But we may get lower picks due to signing Foxworth and Birk and Carr.

Right now, we're likely to get one 7th round Comp at best next year.

We've signed 3 UFAs - Foxworth, Birk and Smith - and lost 5 - Scott, Brown, Leonhard, Ivy and Copper - but Ivy and Copper signed one-year minimum deals, so they probably won't qualify for Comp pick purposes.

So, it's 3 gained versus 3 lost. The value lost is greater, but the question is how much and will it qualify. Teams on occasion are granted a 7th round comp pick when the net loss is substantially greater than the net gains.

It remains to be seen whether that would apply in this case.

What the Ravens need is for Boller to sign a deal for at least $1.5M per year, which would offset Smith's deal and likely free up Scott for a 3rd/4th rounder.

Does Chris Carr not count towards these numbers?

Yes, I totally forgot about him.

That means it's even more unlikely that we'll get a comp pick - we've essentially signed 4 and lost 3 that will qualify.
