Do you bring back Adalius Thomas for the right price???

Heck yeah if they cut him, but they are paying him too much to just cut a versatile guy like that. They may move him if they get Peppers, but they will not cut him, and they may just move him to a different spot on a defense that was full of holes last year.

i did not see where they suggest that he may be cut.

if he were cut, i would bring him in. if we could afford him of course. the guy can flat out play. he is an amazing talent. hell, he did not play half the season last year and he still had 5 sacks. his presence can be used on any team in the league.

if anything, that article was saying he's the best LB they've got...doubt he's cut unless they are still strapped for cap room, which they are not.

but yes, if Adalius Thomas became available again, for the right price, I'd bring him back. And by right price, I mean nearly any price. That guy was a beast.

That would be a dream. I also think that could lead to a greater home town discount from Suggs. I remeber him talking about how he felt when Adailus left. And maybe just maybe we could piss Bart Scott off.

No chance we could afford him right? Not after signing Ray and Foxworth and Suggs and now Carr. That would be amazing if we got him back though, it would heal my wound from losing the Madbacker.

i do not think we could afford him. the Pats would take a cap hit i would think though. i do not see him being cut. not really any chance of it in my mind.

Might as well be petty while we're at it, right?:grbac:

In order to bring Thomas back you would have to either cut or trade Jarret Johnson as they play the same position.

It does seem as though he and Peppers would be the same type of player in the NE scheme.

I would also think if he was cut the Jets would certainly be the competition for him. At 31 I am not sure how expensive he would be.

agreed, but even if he has lost a step, he could shift back down to the dline. he could still create havoc as a DE... as long as its a cap friendly deal...

No thanks .... not after the way he threw the team under the boss when he left.

We have good depth at LB anyway.

Ray is still here so I seriously doubt it.

If we don't develop some of these young LBs we have, Tavares Gooden, Antwan Barnes, Jameel McClain, Prescott Burgess, they will soon be GONE and we will have wasted our draft picks and signings on them. We drafted them, why not let them play? How will we find out how good they are if we don't play them enough BEFORE they have to be signed to another contract? Why did we sign them/draft them if we didn't think they could play? How many LBs do we keep on this roster?

The only way Ozzie brings in a vet LB is if a key vet gets hurt (Ray, Suggs, Ayanbadejo), or if he no longer has any confidence in FOUR highly acclaimed young unproven LBs.

Great post. I totally agree. I want to see what those guys can do. I have heard that Prescott Burgess has a ton of talent but is lazy. Hopefully the light goes on before it is too late. McClain looked every bit the play maker when he did get in last year.

I agree with the overall point, but don't overstate things. No one outside of Baltimore is "highly acclaiming" any of these guys. Ask 1,000 non-Ravens fans who these four guys are and 999 of them won't be able to tell you.
