I thought I heard on the radio a little while ago that the Ravens cut Rolle, but I don't see anything posted about it yet. Did they actually cut him, or was I heard just speculation?

Ravens' Rolle says he'll be released next week
CB expects move on Monday; 'I anticipate it happening. I'm happy'

Samari Rolle expects to be granted his release from the Ravens on Monday, the four-year starting cornerback told The Baltimore Sun today.
Rolle, 32, envisioned a diminished role after the team signed Domonique Foxworth on the first day of free agency.
"I anticipate it happening. I'm happy," Rolle told The Sun. "Everyone got what they wanted out of this. I wish the Ravens nothing but the best of luck."
Rolle has been asked to take a physical at Ravens headquarters on Monday, which is likely the last step before his release. General manager Ozzie Newsome confirmed that Rolle has been asked to report to the team on Monday.

I was just listening to Scott and "Manita" (so take this with a grain of salt) but she said that the Ravens may have signed Tennessee CB Chris Carr as a replacement for Rolle.
Again, you know Anita's track record so please don't flame if this turns out to be misinformation. I just thought I would pass this info along. Here is Chris's stats:

torry holt also released.
with ~6M in cap space, i could see us taking a shot. this wouldn't help us get younger and we may have to win a bidding war to get him, but it sure would be nice to have a #1 guy...

we still have draft picks to sign... and we will need another CB to replace Rolle. we CANNOT over pay for a guy like Holt. it just creates another hole...

This should clear some much needed cap room.

Right, we need not overpay but we will probably take a look. We obviously need help at WR and he still has plenty of gas in the tank.

Yea, I heard same thing on radio about same time of your post.
Scott also said that we picked up Chris CArr, CB, from Tenn according to their sources.
No news from OM yet.
Even thought the bitch said it, sounds reasonable since they cut Rolle.
She reasoned that they were holding off on Rolle until Carr was in the mix.
Make sense.
Even a blind sauirel finds a nut once in a while.
Someone Tony's staff wrote that cutting C-MAC and Rolle would free up about $23M in CAP space.
Looks like they got another $6M or so. Just guessing.
If the Chris Carr thing is true that's great. He's a great Kick and Punt returner and has great speed. He could be a good 4th or 5th corner.

Last year Carr started two games at CB for the Titans and had one INT with 5 passes defensed. He averaged 10.1 yards per punt return and 28.1 yards per kick-off return.
If we signed him, I'm pretty happy with the way our secondary is shaping up.

If we do not get Carr, Justin Miller from Clemson, formerly of the Jets and Raiders is also a good 3rd or 4th Cb and solid return man.
I really like Rolle and would love to keep him in the mix, but if he wants out instead of to fight for his snaps we are better off without him.

I liked Rolle up until he said C-Mac was his best friend on the team and started whining about not being a starter anymore. A lot of us said last year we need to get younger in the secondary, and it appears like Ozzie agreed.
