I know we are all upset, shocked, and disgusted with yesterday's missed opportunity, but the Ravens gave us a season of great excitement around here. As a matter of fact, they, along with the Terps, are the only teams to give us anything exciting over the past ten years, but that's a different discussion.

I would like to thank the BALTIMORE Ravens for a great season and much excitement and anticipation here in Baltimore.

We did finish 13-3 and are the AFC North Champions.

We did sweep the Steelgirls; totally manhandled them 58-7.

Thanks Baltimore Ravens and I am ready for the NFL Draft and the start of mini camps (OTAs) in May.

Thank You, Baltimore Ravens. You gave us a team to be proud of, on and off the field. You improved 7 games from last year, won a Division Title, and twice humiliated the defending champions. And next year, you'll be back.

I guess everyone is still either upset or sitting in a state of shock clicking the lamp on and off.:bag:

I am still pissed. I am sure I will feel this way soon.

Is it August yet? I'm ready for training camp.
I am not happy about the outcome yesterday, but any year you get an extra game, tailgate and beautiful weather can't be all bad.

Well said...I agree. They were the 'cardiac kids' sometimes this year, but it was a great year and we destroyed the Steelers' as well. Hell, come to think of it, we could have gone 6-10 this year as long as we beat Pissburgh like that, I would be happy!

There's a lot of McNair bashing going on, but he's got to be our Offensive MVP this year. He managed the game well, gave everyone the confidence boost, and in some cases, won us games. At his best, Boller just kept us in the game, but he never showed he could WIN a game for us.

Also, this defense has got to rival the 2000 unit. I hope we bring Rex back next year, so we can have another shot at a record defense. However, if someone offers Rex a HC gig, he should take it and I wish him well.

I'd say thank you, but then some yahoo is bound to answer with "No problem"
When the hell did that start?

It used to be the correct response was "You're welcome"

I am always tempted to say, (and have) "Problem..what problem, I have no problem... does someone have a problem?"

It was a good season. Also it was a weird game yesterday. I'd feel worse if we got crushed, which we didn't.

Oh, well. Next year.

What I love about the NFL is that who knows what next season brings? Last year, the Colts were a FG away from the SB, this year they may make it.

Heck, we could get in the playoffs, next year, as a wildcard team and win the whole show.

Not to steer away from the appreciation theme, but just saying the name Baltimore Ravens brings a smile to my face.

These guys gave me thrills and some extra gray hairs.

Sorry guys. I'm not in the mood to be appreciative just yet.

We got our asses kicked.......at HOME........AFTER A BYE.........scoring 6 TOTAL POINTS..........I felt like we got crushed. Maybe not in the score, but in the way we played. It's like the offense basically said to the defense, "Ehhhh, you know what. We don't need it. Sorry to waste your effort, but we're not going to play today. There's always another Super Bowl next year."

Watching the Eagles and Saints, and the Bears and Seahawks. I would have been ok losing that way. If it was 27-24 and the Colts just happened to play that little bit better, but we looked good, I would have been upset but ok with it. I'm not ok with this. Not even a little bit.

And now we can pretty much say the Colts own us, both in they house and ours. Doesn't matter who the QB is, Indy has beaten us at home and away the last 4 years . Well, except 2003....because we didn't play them that year.

With all due respect, other than us winning a couple more games, how are we right now that different than the Kansas City Chiefs? Could be my just being really disgusted right now, but both us and them got manhandled by the 31st run defense in the league.

So you'll have to excuse me if I'm not thinking about being 13-3 or AFC North Champs. Because right now, all that means absolutely nothing.

It's probably going to be after the Super Bowl before I'm back on track. But right now I don't even care about the Super Bowl anymore.

I know what you mean...if we somehow scored in the fourth quarter and took the lead and Manning marched down the field and won it, I WOULD STILL BE UPSET, but I would feel like we at least made it a game.

You know... I'm a big fan and would normally be pretty level-headed about the loss and would be inclined to agree. But, there was something about this loss that has thrown a switch...right now I'm not sure that I want to continue being a Ravens fan...its too heartbreaking.

Right now Billick F***in sucks, McNair F***in sucks, Ray Lewis F***in sucks is all I can say. A game as important as this and Billick did not have the offense ready to play again! Oh yeah, and Bisciotti F***in sucks for not firing Billick's dead-ass during the off season.

Bitter? Damn right! I work with a bunch of retarded Ft. Wayne transplants so I've got to hear this F***in shit all year!! They'll get their props when they live up to their billing and potential.

I'm still shell shocked, but I can't take away the great season we had. I would have never thought we would have gone 13-3.

So many things could've been done differently, but the game is over. I hope we can re-sign AD, get a cover corner, a QB (for McNair to mentor) and a RB and build for next season.

It hurts bad, I won't lie. But 13-3 or 3-13, I'll never give up on them.

Anyone that can't stick with their team through the good and the bad aren't real fans, IMO.

It was nice knowing you redgraystar and your 1 post.

Feeling better today. Overall it was a great year. Especially coming from 6-10.

By the way, all the negativity about Jamal is amazing. True he did not look like 2003 but still ran for 1,100+ yards and 10 TD's. Offensively in Saturdays game he was by far the most productive player in limited carries. He even looked real good catching the ball out of the backfield. I hope we restructure his deal and give him 1 more year.

Sorry Deuce that my one post did not meet your expectations. Quite frankly I don't care what you think about my one post. I need to vent somewhere and I ended up here. Just because a person has not posted on the board before does not make him any more or less of a Ravens fan.

I guess the most maddening thing is the way we lost. It almost would of been more bearable if we would have been blown out. But, to have the game within your grasp and step on a rake at the most critical points of the game time after time was a killer.

I just have to suck it up and put it in perspective. My kvetching is just born of frustration. I know that I'll continue representing the Ravens in Florida, looking back I guess that I have to be thankful for a fun season overall.

Okay, guys. This is a RAVENS APPRECIATION thread. If you still need to vent, then take it another thread or start your own.

This is a thread to say thanks or whatever positive about this exciting season the Ravens gave us.

If you still need time to cool down, then that's fine, but continue venting elsewhere. As upset as I was, I am over it now.

Your right PR. Although I'm pissed & sad I am thankful for this season. We have a great team and next season should be another good one for us. I'm most thankful for spanking the hated Steelers twice this year!

We will correct the mistakes. I'm looking forward to the draft!

One more thing....for those season tix holders by us not getting to the AFC Championship game just think that $ goes to your tickets next season.

I want to thank everyone with the Ravens organization from Steve Bisciotti to Brian Billick to Ray Lewis to Steve McNair to Matt Katula! You made this one of the most exciting seasons I have ever been involved in as a fan! I LOVE MY RAVENS! Thanks to you, my winter was enjoyable.

I was expecting 10-6 maybe 11-5, but you guys sure made this season more interesting!

I love the Ravens. Thanks for a fan-f#(ken-tastic season!!! 13-3 SWEET! I said at the beginning of the year, all I wanted was to go to the playoffs this year and we did! They make me look forward to a time of the year I used to hate. Now I can't wait for the cold. FOOTBALL SEASON!! Win or lose, rain or shine, day or night, I'll be in my seat in 503.

If you didn't enjoy this season, than I feel sorry for you. If people want to stop supporting the team because of one loss, I say hit the f#(ken road!!! Your not a true fan! Don't let the bandwagon run your ass over as you exit!

I BLEED RAVENS PURPLE 24 X 7, 365!!!
