next week and Miami beats the Jets we are at Miami for the wildcard round...seems to be a good matchup for us as we have already beat them once. Just seems funny if this pans out how many times we have to go to Miami! I'm so excited for next Sunday can't wait for the game and when we win the massive after party in the tailgate lots after the game and then back home to book a flight to miami, and yes I know we still have to win but damn am I getting pumped up!

Naw I'd rather have the Jets and turnover prone Brett. The Phins might still be upset from that first game...

Under that scenario and with a win in Miami, we go to Pittsburgh. I have a feeling that if we play Pittsburgh again, we win. It is also nice that Indy is in the other bracket since they seem to have our number.
Under best scenario we go Miami, Pittsburgh and then Tenn in the AFC Championship. I don't know about you guys but I like the way that looks.

#85's performance last night is up there with Jermaine Lewis on xmas eve in 2000 after losing his son in a still birth and Ray Lewis's performance in SBxxxv what do you think? This team is starting to get hot but we need another reciever to step up and make some plays!!!! My FEELING is this team wants play the PISS color team again and then go to Nashville like we did 8 years ago!!!!

That would be a tough road, but not as tough as if we had to go to Indy for the AFCC game.

I agree that is the only team I don't want to see, Peyton just seems to have our number, though it seems like they might be without Harrison for the rest of the year, but I will take the other road.

That scenario is incorrect. The only way we play Pissburgh again would be in the AFC Championship game. Assuming a win next week, we are the #6 seed. As such, #6 plays at #3, and #5 plays at #4. The lowest remaining seed from those games plays #1, and the other plays #2. Since we would be the lowest seed remaining, we would play at Tennessee, and the winner of Indy/Denver or San Diego would play at Pissburgh.

yep that is correct. so as it sits today, if we beat miami in the 1st round, we go to tenn first and then pittsburgh in he afc championship

You beat me too it Beer. If Pittsburgh had won today, then that scenerio would have been right. But Tennessee locking up #1 changed that.
Interestingly enough, Denver hasn't won a playoff spot yet. They lost to the Bills today, so next week they have a showdown with San Diego. If SD wins, both teams are 8-8 and SD holds the tie-breaker.
I think it's rediculous that a team with a worse record gets higher seed, but such is life.

I totally agree Stinger. I think those rules could use changing. Division title should only guarantee you a playoff spot, nothing more. Why should one team be rewarded with a home game just because their entire division sucks? Seed each team according to record.

It would be awesome to have the game in Miami as it would be easy to get playoff tickets and see the game in person . . .
Although if the game were up in New York, I think I'm going to try to go as well.

Were you complaining about that in 2003?

If Miami, I'm thinking of just going down and finding tickets outside the stadium. I don't think I'll have a problem finding tickets down there.

In 2003 the Ravens #4 seed (AFC N champ 10-6) hosted the Titans #5 seed(WC 12-4)

The Colts and the Titans both finished with 12-4 records. The Colts won the AFC South via tiebreakers. The Titans, as a Wildcard team, had to play us on the road. Our record was 10-6.

I'd personally be the most worried if we had to play the Patriots in Foxborough.
I feel very confident playing the Dolphins or the Jets.
