I heard something about this earlier but here is an article about it. If true, didn't seem to work out to well for the 'boys.

This is what I posted in the other thread...I believe this was brought up on the television as well. If it's true...sucks to be Jerry...f him. And we disgraced the Cowboys (at least their fans thing so). f them too.

Not the smartest move by the :261695: Co-comissioner
But maybe we should ask him if he wants us back to open his new stadium :rolling:
On another note, too bad Romo got hurt earlier in the year and they had already tried Johnson/Bollinger or we may have benched another QB by the 3Q

good move Jerry, glad we could be of service to you and ruin your little party. Next time you might want to invite the Lions!

I heard it on TV & couldn't believe it. How is that allowable? I realize the Ravens were scheduled to play in Dallas this year, but he gets to pick who he plays when? What else is new, we're talking about the NFL after all. Way to ruin the party!!

Come on guys - lighten up here!!!!!
We were the only NFL team never to have played there - so there is a case for scheduling it for then. They only had 8 games to choose from. Would you rather it was the Bungles!
In many other sports, teams are allowed to make requests for opponents at various times and for a variety of reasons (notes). The league should here requests and allow where no advantage is gained.
Notes:
M&T can not host both NFL and MLB on the same day.
In cricket, County teams get to choose one home fixture when they want it, usually to time with a larger festival or series of matches, or test matches.

Shit... even if it is true, I would be happy that he did. It was a huge win against a team that was supposed to go all the way. Not to mention, we got to shut that stadium down, proper.
Thank you JJ. Your "Americas Team" can sulk in the dark. Ravens got to show EVERYONE (who has the NFL Network), that we should not be overlooked. The Cowboys, fans, and Cowboy lovers in the media can make excuses about how they (the team) did not execute, but the bottom line is, the Cowboys got beat and embarrassed by what was supposed to be the lesser team.
Thanks for the opportunity. Enjoy your memories of that last game in that stadium.

In a way it was a major disrepect to the Ravens.Expecting this game as an easy win.
But the by product of that pick could not have been more beneficial to the Ravens for bringing the team together. And showing the world what the Ravens could do.
How sweet it was to see JJ and Emmitt Smith squirm in the luxury box as their worst nightmare unfolded.
How small do the Cowboys players feel for not getting that win,for all the cowboy legends that walked out for the stadium closing ceremony after the game.My mistake they probably didn't even give a fook.:grbac:

When has M&T ever hosted an MLB game?

LOL. Even if they did, I am not sure I would understand that comment.

He meant the Camden Yards complex, you cant have an Orioles game and ravens game on the same day...stadiums use the same parking for both and would be a nightmare...but lately you might not even notice the few spaces gone for people going to the orioles game! haha

I'm sorry, I don't feel it's right. I mean the NFL is about competitive balance right? Atleast that's what they told the world during week two. Nevermind the Saints played one of their toughest opponents at a neutral site and only had 7 home games. If Jerry Jones gets to pick who he's going to play his last home game than every owner should. Also there is a credible rumor that Belicheck asked the league that his four west coast trips be broken up into 2 back to back games so the Patriots can stay on the west coast and only make two trips, I think the Jets made 5 trips out west. The NFL offices with their competitive balance mantra rings a little hollow for me, sorry.

That may be true RR, but the Cowgirls, if I need to remind you, are America's Team and guaranteed to go to the playoffs. :D

Be carefull what you wish for Jerry. :taz:
To be fair to Jones he and Bisciotti are good friends. It might have been that he wanted the Ravens because we had never played there and to have Bisciotti be a part of it.
That said, there is hint he thought it would be an easier game than an NFC East opponent, 3 of whom we shit-canned.

Fcuk Dallas and JJ, they are cocky and arrogant and then had the nerve to have the ceremony as a postgame show, thinking it was gonna an easy win because of our record last year.
Never have I seen those ceremonies done AFTER a game, always before or during. But I'm glad we rained all over that parade

That's what I was thinking to, has that ever been done? Like the columnist on yahoo said, it reeked of overconfidence.
