For those watching the Titans-Steelers game, do you realize we cut Justin McCareins from training camp this year? I was surprised at tthe time, I didn't see much of his play I figured he was washed up. Seeing him here, we could sure use him with all our injuries and inexperience at WR. He is still a very good possession receiver with pretty good hands. He is up to about 6 catches against the Steelers so far as I write this.
I wonder why we cut him? Only thing I can figure is with Mason, Clayton, Williams, and Harper healthy at the start we had bigger needs (like OL). But it doesn't seem Williams was ever healthy. Did they think they would get a lot out of Matt Willis and Wrnie Wheelwright? If so they fell pretty fast since both were cut (although Wheelwright is on the PS).
