EVeryone should make a post on that board. We were disrespected all week. For the love of God, Jerry Jones planned his little "party" for AFTER the game. That is the biggest act of disrespect I've ever seen. And they didn't have to say anything because the media said it for them.

If anyone ever played football in high school, you know the drill. Find a homecoming opponent that you know you can beat and plan all of your festivities around that week. That;'s exactly what Jerry Jones did.

They deserved the whipping the got and our boys deserved to talk trash.

What a bunch of babies down in Dallas.

Th fact is the NFL/Jerry hand picked the Ravens for this game because we were coming off a 5-11 season and they thought we'd be a good team to whoop up on to close out Texas Stadium....well if you want to talk about disrespect then there you have it.

Almost every on the media picked Dallas....again...giving no respect to the Ravens.

Sorry Cowboy fans...stop blaming the Ravens players for their comments...blame your own team and the cancer that is TO.

How does Jerry Jones get to pick the schedule? Isn't it all computerized? I think it made for some great motivation - nice job by the coaches. But I'm not sure it's really true.

I'm not sure but those comments were made yesterday on TV.

And I thought of 1 more thing about disrespect. TO disrespected the Ravens when he refused to play for us after our trade with the 49ers. We shipped him off to Philly.

No, the schedule is made up almost by hand. They are always adjusting this or that.

Well, if its true Jerry hand picked the Ravens expecting a win, it must have been when he expected Boller to start, not a rookie from Delaware.

He would have been right.

:iagree: who'd a thunk it!!

Not much to add to Greg's post on page 5 there. . . Thanks for pointing us to the good read, Dave.

I was at the game and the fans were the nicest fan groups ive been around.(been in san diego, houston, miami, detriot, denver, tampa) Of the sell out crowd about 47,000 stayed after for the festivities....pretty boring actually just calling a bunch of the players and they ran onto the field...and thats it...i guess if it was my team i would have been more into it.

But anyway after the game, i had an aisle seat and just about every cowboys fan that walked by, said good game and shook my hand...I couldnt imagine ravens fans doing that to a steelers fan after the game, or any opposing team fan for that matter.

Everywhere we went in Dallas it was the same, some all in good fun ribbing, but all said have fun and enjoy, all very friendly.

I am sure many Cowboys fans are great people. I work with quite a few of them, seeing as I work in the Nations capitol (More Cowgirl fans than Deadskins fans here). I just think the whining and crying about Ravens comments is hi-larious. I am glad the Ravens ruined their party. I like a team with a little swagger and attitude. Golf is the gentleman's game.

The day I hear Ray say "Jolly good contest ol' chap" while wearing argyle socks and matching sweater-vest is the day I scratch the roof of my mouth with the front sight post of a pistol.

I agree, i mean what do they expect the team to say after they beat them?? Im sorry we ruined your day??? No, your glad you won, your glad you knocked a team out of the playoffs...and your glad you are still in it....

LOL so I guess it's not disrespectful to have Dallas Dayu on the NFLN andn have promos about, what was supposed to be a football game, but the Ravens were afterthoughts at best.

Sick of cry babies and excuses from these fan favorite teams. It's getting real old

I guess I'm the only here seeing the other side. When I heard Ray Lewis say "Turn off the lights and put this bitch to bed" or something like that, I didn't think anything of it. He was just celebrating the victory in which no one thought we would win due, in part, to the big deal being made of the celebration of Texas stadium.

However, looking at it from the Dallas perspective, I can understand why they think that was needless taunting. It would have been classier for the Ravens not to go in that direction.

Sure, it would have been classier. But that is not what football is about. Since when is football a classy sport? It is about pounding the other team into submission and wining the game. If they wanted gentlemanly play, the players would be wearing flags or it would be 2-hand touch.

Football is actually less brutal today then it was back in the old days. More protection, equipment-wise and officiating. The words football and classless are synonyms, and should always be inclusive to each other. It is a barbaric sport. The forefathers of football paved the way. Listen to the stories Artie Donovan has told over the years. As long as they leave it on the field where it belongs, who cares what someone says.

Having sat through that embarrassment of a pre-game show and never hearing the word "Ravens" unless it was in conjunction with how bad they would lose, I could not disagree more.

The NFLN make a mockery of itself and it all starts from the top down -- Jerry Jones.

He "selected" the Ravens on the hopes it would be a cake walk (Disrespect #1)

NFLN "journalists" were all jocking the cowboys before the game (Kudos to Deion for keeping it legit during the game). (Disrespect #2)

I don't think Dallas fans understand though what it's like to be part of an organization that gets little respect or recognition for that matter. I know, people will say it's not true, but lord knows we don't get the press the Cowboys do. Leading up to this game you would hardly know the Ravens were even playing. I think a lot of what was said after the win was just venting.

Don't forget - IIRC, we were also selected to be the Homecoming Patsy fo Pittsburgh a few years back. We suffered several key injuries, and were badly shown up on MNF.

Perhaps that insult was making itself felt again.

BS

We not only surprise the Cowboys but we shock the nation to let them know the Ravens of 2000 are back for the 2009 yeah we're little bit young but never forget we have vets and coaches to tutor our inexperience players, and with fifteen games under our rookies and first yearers belts. They now know how to come play ball the Ravens way.Super Bowl

BS

And we were selected to be the Patsy at the Dolphins' big halftime celebration where they honored Dan Marino and unveiled his statue, and they had the members of the '72 team there.

That's not even the end of it. Did anyone notice, when the season schedule came out that we, as a 5-11 team, having a terrible run of primetime games, were scheduled for two primetime games. AT the Steelers and AT the Cowboys, both of which teams were expected to be top teams likely to beat our asses and humiliate us on national TV.

And then we beat the sh** out of the Cowboys. After the game, there was a short interview with Joe, followed by endless interviews with Wade Phillips and Tony Romo. I thought the Ravens won the game??? Why wasn't the head coach of the winning team interviewed? That happens in the media all the time. It really pisses me off.

Keep on looking past the Ravens. I like it that way.

Win or lose, that Dallas game was always going to be about the Cobwebs...er, I mean Cowboys. They had a huge celebration to tend to, and they were not going to let a silly thing like a loss and potential playoff exclusion dampen the touting of how historically great they are.

:iagree: I've previously heard him say things like 'let's go home' to close out a win, esp a road win. and 90+% of the pregame hype was cowboys, cowboys, cowboys.
speaking of class, compare Ray Ray's mentorship and citizenship to Tank Johnson, Pacman Jones, TO...

I agree with that. There was a lot of Cowboy hype and when they lost not much credit was given to the Ravens. It seems like the question all the sports guys were asking was "how did the Cowboys blow that game?"

I taped NFL Live, an ESPN show to get a run down of the various playoff teams and about 70% of the show was devoted to the Cowboys and Tony Romo! Gimme a f*&^%in break. They're a team with great talent and little heart. Why waste so much valuable air time on them?
