I don't know know about you but I've had it with Yamon Figurs as a KR. He's scared and fumbles too much. I don't know if its nerves or what but he reminds me of Corey Ross every time the ball is kicked to him. I just pray he doesn't fumble.

I like what Leonard has done on PRs and he should take over the KR position. The guy knows what he is doing. He may not bust the long one but at least he reads coverages and gets good yardage...and I don't have to pray to god he doesn't fumble thought when he's back to receive.

I totally agree. Figurs could have definitely lost the game for us last night had his late fumble been recovered by Dallas. Considering that his returns aren't any longer than "sure hands" Leonhard, I don't see why Figurs should be out there.

Leonhard should be out there on every kick, Figurs running into a wall of people just isn't working anymore. For whatever reason he lost his confidence.

Leonhard is a beast. Always giving 100% in every game. I trust him MUCH more out there to return kicks. I'm always holding my breath every time Figurs touches the ball. I don't worry one bit when Leonhard is setting up for a return. Besides, he seems to find the gaps and holes much better than Figurs anyway.

I think I am going to Bounty out on Figures that seems to be the only way Harbs and co are going to sit that bum, please stop letting him run even the crew last night was laughing and saying he looked scared what a bust!

Dude is as good as done IMO.

Sealing it for me was watching him cringe up preparing to brace himself for the hit impact rather then just running the ball trying to get through the hole.

Dude doesn't have what it takes to return kicks.

I think it is actually time to make him a full time WR like the Bears did with Hester. The NFL is just not a good place to be that size and take those hits. I would never do it, and I loved football, and loved contact, it takes a real crazy to even play special teams at a high level, but to be the guy all 11 are trying to blow up at top speed takes a certian kind of courage or crazy that looks past mortality.

We don't need another Clarence Moore on this team. If you can't take a hit as a KR, you will stop being able to take hits as a WR. Now if you want to keep him on ST in another capacity, that's fine.

Jim Leonard is going to unfortunately lose his safety job when Duan Landry comes back next year. And we need to keep him. I say you make him our full time PR, and see how he does as a KR.

I agree on your 1st point, but not the 2nd. I do not just hand Landry the job back. Leonhard has been great this season and I think Landry would have to earn it back. I expect Harbs to let these 2 battle it out in training camp.

It is time to let Yamon focus on playing receiver, because he clearly is not a viable option as a returner in the NFL. Far to tentative and unable to make people miss.

I disagree with using Leonhard as a kick returner however.

He's a starter on defense, a FANTASTIC punt returner, but I wouldn't risk further extending him beyond his current roles. The risks are too great.

I think Ray Rice, Tom Zbikowski and/or Haruki Nakamura would be excellent candidates to replace Figurs in the return game, and I'd say Zbikowski would be my choice.

BUST.

I hated that pick as soon as they made it last year. Even after he started out hot last year, by the end of the year, he had lost his confidence and Billick had to put Reed and co. back there.

Dude is scared of contact...I've never seen a guy completely come to a stop to brace himself for hits like this...and he does it all the time unless he has a free run with nobody near him. He is way too thin to break any tackles, and he has small hands and couldn't really catch a cold in college as a WR.

Cut Bait and look for a KR/PR next year who is actually fearless. And don't go for the combine champ please.
