Even though today we are in a honeymoon period over what will go down as one of the best NFL Network games in history, to date, after careful consideration I believe it only ranks #5 in Raven's regular season history. My list is below. Curious to see what others think:

1) Jacksonville home game in 2000 - Shanon Sharpe winning TD
2) Titans road game in 2000 - Dilfer leads us back on a long winning drive
3) Titans road game in 2006 - McNair to Mason TD and Pryce blocked FG
4) Seahawks home game in 2003 - 400 yards from Anthony Wright in team's biggest comeback
5) Dallas game last night.

The Monday Night Game against the Broncos where McAlister ran back the missed field goal should be listed as well.

As great as the above listed games were, given the circumstance of last night's game - closing Dallas stadium, exorcising the demons of not being able to win on the road/on national TV, playing for our playoff lives, the warrior play of Mason and the dramatic fashion of those two runs, and I have a hard time not ranking last night's game as tops. I know it's a game I'll never forget.

A few others to add to the list:
- Oakland in 96, well because it was the first
- Pittsburgh game in 96 here because we just sucked & weren't supposed to win
- Minnesota game played in Jan 2002 postponed from the w/o 9/11 win to get in playoffs

I'm not sure how you are defining this, but I'd add a few:

1996 opener
1999 41-14 wn over AFC Champion Tennessee. This was the game that actually began the dynasty and a streak of 21-5.
2001 MNF @ Tennessee with the goal line stand
2003 Jamal's record 295
2006 9 sacks of Ben in 27-0 win
2007 Near miss vs. NE
2008 I think I'll always look back at the Eagles game as the one we might well have lost but won by a margin convincing enough to rank as the season's most impressive win.

ya'll forgetting christmas eve. against the jets securing our first playoff birth and superbowl run....believe testeverde threw the ball 60+ times for the jets, jermaine lewis ran back two punts in his first game back since the death of his child....that game will always stand out to me... happy festivus!

both Stooler smackdowns in 2006 are on my list.
a decent heritage, considering the newness of the franchise.

I don't count the Seahawks game in 2004 as a great win. We got the extra timeout that gave us the lead. I can't stand winning or losing games on bad calls by the refs.

The Jacksonville in 2000 was probably the most exciting. Last nights game was pretty good too.

Last night ranks up close to the top for me. Everyone counted us out. The closing of their stadium. Flacco's NFL coming out party in terms of having a big time win under his belt, and the game was just exciting as hell from start to finish and will help get us in the playoffs when the world thought we would be a 4-12 team....just a great win for this young franchise.

I'll stake the claim that this was the greatest regular season game in Ravens history.

This game featured so many storylines, in the game, out of the game, on both sides of the ball, I am certain I could not list them all. But I will give it a shot.

Out of the game:
Cowboys playoff hopes
Ravens playoff hopes
Dallas stadium closing down
Jerry Jones' handpicked 'loser'

In the game:
Derrick Mason playing with one arm
Redemption for Willis
Back to back ~80 yd runs up the gut to close down the game
Double pick game for Reed; defense clamping down on big Cowboy receivers
Overcoming huge majority of experts (and us) expecting a sound defeat

This game had it all, and it was a treat to watch. From the opening kickoff to the closing seconds, this was a great game not just for Ravens fans, but for anyone who watches football. Which is why I put it at the top.
