Was the greatest regular season run I have ever witnessed from the Ravens. When you consider the circumstances, that it put the game away, it broke the record for longest run in the buildings 37 year history in its final 2 minutes, and that stiff arm to the Dallas defender! Hope #33 has a long career with us.

He's turning into our Bettis. Who would have thought he'd be in the Pro Bowl in his second year.

Fullbacks are not supposed to be able to run that far without getting caught. Or tired.

I couldn't believe he didn't fall into the EZ from exhaustion. That was a long way, and he's a big dude. Bettis could never have run that far.
Nice stiff arm on the guy just past the LOS too.
In yerms of sheer "wow" effect, Jamal's run vs. Indy in 2004 was better, but we lost that game.

That stiff arm was about as good as you can do in the NFL. Not just to push the defender away, but put his ass on the ground!
And what about that block from Neal to open the hole? That was just a pancake!

He broke out of a couple tackles before that stiff arm then ran the field !! He is the back that works harder for us right now. It was only fitting that after Willis breaks out a 70 plus run for a TD.... McLain out shines with a 80 plus run for a TD on the very next drive!
That was history ... 2 back to back runs for TD !

Once again, the Ravens offense couldn't keep the defense off the field. /sarc
What impressed me was how long the run seemed to take to develop. Also, McClain turning around Newman down around the 10.

Yup, #56 is gonna be feeling that block in the morning, Neal destroyed him.

In the first quarter, Clayton put his man on his ass with a stiff arm, too. No TD ensued, but it was all win.

Also Mark Clayton had a nice Screen type block so the last guy couldn't get McClain before he got to the house!

I counted 4 broken (arm) tackles on that run. That I could understand, but how hard did the cowgirls chase him? something wrong with a D that can't chase a fullback over 70+ yards. did they quit or is LeMac that fast? and of course the blocking was huge.
sweeeeet. showed why he got that ticket to Honolulu...

I damn near felt that jolt here @ home.
A thing of pure beauty!!! Holyshit!!, at first I was worried that he might of got enough facemask to draw a flag but them..:hammer: :happyanim
Great way to send them cowgirls to their next arena of failure!

When all the defenders are in the box trying to stop the run it's pretty much over when any NFL running back gets into the open field.
Let's say McClain runs a 4.6 forty. The fastest sprinters in the world run in the 4.2 range. So roughly 1 second per 10 yards for the speed demons, 1.1 seconds for the Big Boys. With a ten yard head start it would be almost impossible for anybody to catch a 4.6 guy in 80 yards. They'd simply run out of room.
Of course, after watching a linebacker get stiff armed like a little girl I'm betting not a whole lot of corners were wanting to take McClain head on anyway.

It was awsome, first Willis ties the record for longest run in texas stadium history and then McClain breaks the record in the same night, somebody should have told the Ravens it was the Cowboys party not ours..Haha

Willis didn't tie that record. He did set a record for longest run of HIS career though.

no you are wrong willis did tie it and then Mclain broke it.
On Baltimore's first snap after T.O.'s touchdown, McGahee broke through a line bunched up to stop the run and ran 77 yards for a touchdown. It was the longest of his career and it tied the longest ever by an opponent at Texas Stadium. McLain broke that record on the Ravens' next snap, going 82 yards for the longest touchdown of his career.

the greatest regular season run I have ever witnessed from the Ravens
I'll go with the day Jamal busted out for 295 vs the Browns in 2003.

LOL. I made this very comment on the Fighting Ungers show Saturday morning, and they called me an idiot. I did however state that he is a fullback and it is unlikely that we will ever see him dash 80 yards for a score. so I do feel very boob-like now. Cest la Vie!

Lets hope hat McLain realizes his ability and has a dedicated off season. If he comes back next year in great shape he could be an absolute stud.
I also hope they bring back McGahee and he also is a bit more dedicated in the off season.

Did anyone notice that #71 Gaither kept up with McLain and was the third person in the endzone on that TD run? That's commitment to a play there.

Yes, and I often see Gaither making second and third level blocks or at least in the secondary looking to level somebody.

My favourite moment of the game was the shot from behind as McClain and Neal (around 515lbs of fullback muscle and bone) running down field, side by side, it was just an awesome sight.

Yeah, I was impressed by that. My offensive line coach drilled into me that you get downfield when the play is gone, any kind of downlfield block can make a difference.
