One of the great things to look forward to thanksgiving is being able to sit around and watch football all day. But we had a discussion today about when was the last time the games were actually good? The first two games sucked and this third one is about to get out of hand as well. 24-7 at the half. Thank god McNabb didn't play like this last week.

Anyone remember a t-giving where the games were actually worth watching?

2005 Denver beat Dallas 24-21

I wonder when the last time the Lions had a good game on Thanksgiving?

And the answer to that is 2003 when they beat the Packers 22-14.

They really need to schedule more competitive games for the day that more people are watching than any other.

Let's get Detroit off Thanksgiving day, and if you are going to show the Cowboys at least make them play a decent team.

I think they should schedule Redskins vs. Cowboys every Thanksgiving. Then lets just see any other good match up.

Eh, I kinda like the tradition.

Yea, the Lions suck but I don't care that much. I'll watch no matter who is playing.

This Cards/Eagles game might get interesting in a second.

I turned off all 3 games before the end of the 3rd quarter. Now that is some crappy football.

Same here, pathetic. The Titans game was over in the beginning of the 2nd quarter. The Dallas game was slightly more interesting, but over by about the 3rd quarter. The Eagles game over by halftime.

As a side note, I had little doubt Philly was going to lose that game. I talked to some family members that morning and one said "Arizona is going to crush them." With Warner, everyone knows if you get pressure on him he folds like a deck of cards. The Eagles are great at getting pressure, and their D played well against the Ravens except for a few plays. Arizona's defense isn't incredibly impressive, I was very confident of the Eagles winning.

I bailed on the Cards v. Eagles game in favor for the Texas v Texas A&M game.

What was I thinking?!?!?!

I thought it was their job to get their asses whupped every year for the enjoyment of all football fans in the U.S.A. They are the traditional Thanksgiving Day Turkey.
