Just saw this on ESPN ....

Reed's INT has been adjusted to 107 yards, no longer giving him the NFL record.

The previous record was 106 yards for INT returns, which he also held. So 107 would still be a new record.

Thank you ESPN for yet another dose of misinformation.

He was hardly "jobbed" if you check the replay he is clearly a couple of yards in from the very back of the EZ when he intercepts the pass. To be able to return an INT for a TD you need to be able to break on the pass, you can't really break on a pass for 109 yards, you'd be breaking from OOB so you'd be ineligible to touch the ball first. Reed's record should stand for some time.

The impressive part of Reed's return isn't the yardage anyway, it was the fact he actually got there when he got out of a cul-de-sac twice on the return.

I thought they may. They changed the official distance of the C-Mac FG return that Ray laid the best block of all time on.

The best part about it was he was breaking his own record. Best ball Hawk eva. He is Prime Time at FS.

Per ESPN, Reed still holds the record:

OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed intercepted two passes Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles, returning the first pick 43 yards and taking the second an NFL-record 107 yards for a touchdown, breaking his own record of 106 yards.

Watch highlights from the Baltimore Ravens' 36-7 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

Reed's 150 yards in interception returns in the game was a franchise record and only 56 yards fewer than the Eagles could muster in a 36-7 defeat.

His touchdown was originally recorded at 108 yards, but the Elias Sports Bureau formally changed it to 107 yards on Wednesday. Regardless, Reed's jersey and the football have been sent to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

It was the right call. 108 would put him at the back of the endzone, which is clearly not where he was standing when he picked off Kolb.

Just leaves more room for him to break his own record yet again. Looking forward to it.

I do not want it - broken as it will mean the opposition is moving the ball on us!

I want our opposition to NEVER get near our endzone when they have the ball or better still never see it as they 'ride-the-pine' watching our offence put numbers and points on them!! :D

I live in a purple world!!! :happyanim

He can break it on a hail mary half time pass or something. It does not have to be from the 1 yard line again, it only matters where he grabs it from. You know he is running it out no matter how deep he is or how little sense it seems to make, he makes it happen in the open feild like Deion.

And to think that Ed is doing this all on a trick neck. If he has surgery, it would apparently end his career. I sometimes wonder if Reed could decide to hang it up after this season. In an interview, he did mention that he'd have to evaluate things concerning his career and this neck issue.

Couple that with the fact that he is till not quite bout into Harbaugh, and he could very well retire after this season.

I was thinking the same thing. Sometimes during interviews it doesn't sound like he is too sure of himself, I hope he can get it straightened out and not have to retire.

Psssshhhhhh... let him go. There are like 15 other people on the roster who can return picks 107 yards to paydirt.
