quarterbacks. The 2 hands to Joe Flaccos head shot by Sean Considine should have been roughing the passer. It's time for the officials to start
protecting all quarterbacks instead of just the marquee names.

Blah.

Starting to sound like a pre world series Red Sox or Chicago Cubs board.

Different crews have different styles. As long as they are consistant during the entire game, I am fine with a hard hitting game.

I couldn't agree more and that is what made me so mad with the Tenn game because they were letting it go all game and then decided to call that bullshit.

Actually I thought the officials did a good job yesterday. They didn't call a
lot of ticky tack bullshit, and pretty much let the guys play.
Yes I saw that head shot, but I guess the officials either didn't, or they didn't
think Considine had malice in his heart.

A lot of calls went the Ravens way yesterday. The official reviews all had Flacco's arm in motion. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad it went the way it did, just saying that this felt like home field advantage to me.

I wonder how many other football fans look at who the officiating crew is for each game and cringe whenever they see the "he had malice in his heart" crew of the hated Mike Carey.

Footnote, I love Hercules sic Ed Hocculli. He demonstrated that he is a man of strong and honorable character when he admitted to a whole stadium that he muffed a call. I'll take that man to call a game every single time.

I agree, but I think RR's point was that they put skirts on guys like Brady and Manning but the other guys take shots all the time with no flags. Just be consistent. The Titans game was funny to me because they called a roughing the passer on a false start play where Collins didn't even fall down yet the same exact play earlier in the game Flacco got creamed on a false start in the red zone with no flag (and the whistle was way more obvious).

Not saying Collins is a guy they protect, but there is no consistency with these calls whatsoever.
