No, not that one. The other one.
With linebacker/defensive end Terrell Suggs and his big-dollar franchise tag keeping the Ravens from being big players in free agency, they’re at least doing something to get better.
According to a league source, the Ravens have agreed to terms with special teams ace Brendon Ayanbadejo.
It’s a four-year, $4.9 million deal, with a $1.9 million signing bonus.
Ayanbadejo is a linebacker on defense, and he became a solid special-teams contributor in Chicago.
Cheap, and he can play the Griesen et al role on this team. Not a bad deal.

Another reason we should sent Suggs to Arizona for Fitzgerald.

Ya, good deal. From the little I've read, he's a special teams guy, nothing to do with Suggs.

Somehow I don't think he makes up for Suggs..

You've got to think that if this is confirmed, a certain former special teams coach pushed hard for his signing.
Ayanbadejo was the NFC Special Teams Pro-Bowl representative for the last two seasons.
Terrific signing.

Great signing for our special teams, brilliant.
Stills used to be a great ST guy but can't help thinking we got him after his best, Ayanbadejo we seem to be getting in his peak.
I know this guy has an Irish passport, but out of interest, is he any relation to Obafemi or not?

Thank goodness we get something, ANYTHING positive out of free agency...I was beginning to worry there for a minute.

Ya know, it has been too long since we've been able to throw the name "Ayanbadejo" around in casual conversation.
