I've heard (although not confirmed) that Jason Garrett will be celebrated at the Ed Block Courage Awards as the Assistant Coach of the Year. Brian Billick received the same award in 1999 just after accepting the Ravens head coaching position.
Something tells me the reception for Garrett won't be the same as it was for Brian...assuming he shows up.

where is the awards held? If it's in Baltimore, he might want to just send his thank you speech in the mail and stay home...

I'm pretty sure it's usually at Martins West in Woodlawn.
They should give Garrett directions to the social hall located around the corner of Pennsylvania & North Avenues.

I could be wrong, but I think he is already on record as being not interested in a HC job yet.

He's talking about the NE guy getting the "Asst. Coach of the Year" award vs. Garrett getting it, not whether or not he'll be a head coach.

He meant as Asst Coach of the Year over Garrett...and I'd agree to some extent, except I guess Garrett is more of a poster child for it.
