Two Ravens were listed...Ed Reed (no suprise), and....Jason Brown!

A sleeper, Brown of the Ravens, ran away with my other position. A different type. He's a 6-3, 320-pound bowling ball, and when he hits 'em, they fly. If I needed any convincing at all on him, and I really didn't, it came against the Patriots, when he just about put a hole in Richard Seymour's chest.

Also a bit of props to Ngata, saying he was the only player Logan Mankins had trouble against, but "everyone has trouble trying to move that guy. It's like blocking something out of a quarry."

I'm glad to see Brown stepping up and making an impact...He's the proof you need that our OL will get better if we let our young guys get in and cut their teeth.

He (Dr. Z) wanted to put him (Brown) in to his all-pro team last season and only didn't because the members of our offensive coaching staff told him not to because we didn't give him any complex blocking schemes last season.

Thoroughly deserving for Jason.

On Ed, I'd actually have Sean Taylor as my all-pro free safety this season, and that is in no way sentimental, he was having an absolutely outstanding season at Free Safety this season and is fully deserving all-pro recognition this year.

I'm not sure if Dr. Z had ever watched a Ravens game (not just based from this article). Jason Brown wouldn't even make an All-AFC North o-line.

:iagree:

Dr. Z doesn't Ravens games just read his articles from this past season. Who really cares about Dr. Z's All Pro team anyway. The AP All Pro team is the only one that counts (which Reed was named to).

Nice tat!

I was mentioning it because of Jason Brown's inclusion...which apparently, a lot of people don't like because they consider him the second coming of Ethan Brooks?

I wasn't watching Brown on every play, but I'm pretty sure he was the bright spot of our OL this year. He's been pretty consistent since replacing Edwin Mulitalo at LG. I was pretty sure our holes at OL were more based around people trying to fill in for JO, or Mike Flynn. Grubbs and Chester weren't great, but that's because this is really each's first year with significant playing time.

I worry about the hate some people have for Jason Brown.....

What is the basis for this comment? You can't be serious. Whether you like him or hate him, the guy watches a ton of games on tape.

Completely wrong, Brown is the best player on our OL now and one of the best OG's in the league.
