Watching the presser and watched 60 minutes last night ....

My personal feelings and beliefs are he juiced. But the bigger probelm here is not knowing who to believe because the majority of players have handled this so poorly.

The players and their wall of silence created the very skepticism that Clemens is now saying that is not deserved. My hat goes off to players like Giambi and the like for coming forward and moving on. And since when do you inject yourself with lidocane in the ass? It's a local and needs to be injected at the sight of the pain, not in your rump. Unless of course Roger had a raging case of hemies!

Bonds, Clemens, et all need to hang their head in shame and are now victims of their own silence during the 90's.

Whether he's guilty or not, he's gambling big time right now.

This whole thing is such a joke and a travesty that I can't even drum up the energy to write down all my feelings on it.

I will say this. Mike Wallace certainly didn't press him too hard (shocking) and I wish someone with some balls would've pressed him on all the tough questions.

Am I to believe that Clemens had no idea that his best friend and workout partner everyday was taking the stuff?

It's all he said, he said.

Now Clemens has filed his defamation lawsuit and Im sure McNamee will follow suit (no pun intended).

Clemens can say and do whatever he wants when he's not under oath. I wonder how his tune would change if he did have to testify under oath.

The Feds can sniff out a lie in a heartbeat and will go after your ass hard.

Just look at Bonds.

LOL, Giambi didn't exactly come clean -- he apoligized but never said what he was apologizing for, when the BALCO grand jury testimony was leaked. But at least he looked and sounded contrite.

Clemens appears to me to be obviously lying, but if they don't have a paper trail of some kind or another witness, it may never be proven. But common sense would suggest that he's lying. He's either being smart enough to think he can get away with it or he's delusional (I'm leaning toward the latter).

Speaking of paper trails, how dumb are some of these athletes to have HGH and steroids actually mailed to their home addresses, without a legitimate prescription?

Major League Baseball is a total mess, anyway you look at it. I use to be a diehard Oriole fan until 1989, when we made the Glenn Davis trade, which was the worst trade in Oriole history.

There is no way this steroid mess is going to resolve itself and deciding who goes in the Hall of Fame is almost impossible to debate. What is sad in my opinion, is that the younger generation will never experience the wonderful teams of the 60's and 70's when the Orioles were contenders almost every year and had the wonderful players like Brooks and Frank Robinson. Gone are the days of innocence.

And yes, I think Roger Clements is lying.

I have nothing to prove that he is lying, but in the 60 minutes interview all he kept saying was excuses..

"why would i juice, its a quick fix..."
then when asked about lie detector tests, he said some people say those things work some say they dont, they asked if he took one showed he didnt take steriods would that make it better, he said who knows instead of saying im telling the truth, if it says so , then they must believe me.

just didnt seem very forth coming. then todays phone conversation not once did roger ask the trainer why did you lie and tell them i took them.

Baseball is just a huge mess and has been that way, being orioles fans, we have a double mess, the orioles front office, and this. We all remember well the days of always contending, always fielding a pretty good team, then since 1998 its all been down hill..

with the "dont ask dont tell" policy on steriods...
the no salary cap so NY and Boston can sign everyone...
and the orioles front office being a mess, i just dont care about the orioles anymore...its just not any fun anymore, i miss that.

Since when does a Baseball team allow personal trainers to treat their HIGHLY paid employees in the role of doctor...injecting Lidocaine, or whatever... I smell fish!... In other words, it stinks! I think he devised those intense workouts, had tem made public in a big way, to avert suspicion.
All in all, baseball is SUCH a mess!
