For this season:
McNair: 10 trips into the Red Zone and 3 touchdowns - 3/10 30%
Boller: 4 trips into the Red Zone and 3 touchdowns - 3/4 75% *
* I am including as a touchdown the incorrect call in the Cincy game to Heap...even the NFL admitted the call was wrong, shouldn't penalize Boller for that.
I don't what the NFL average is but I am sure someone out there does. Both guys have actually moved the offense pretty well all year but this is an enigma to me. What is it about McNair that he can't get the ball in the endzone?

Nice numbers there GS.
Personally I think much of the redzone issues have to do w/ the play calling.
Even last year when Billickk took over for Fassel the redzone % was terrible and it has carried over to this season.
It's a broken record, but Billick is just not very good at scoring TDs. As long as he is calling the plays the offense will continue to suck.

I've had it with every pass attempt in the EZ being the fade that's way over the receiver's head.

Is it play calling? I mean Boller has gotten the ball in the endzone 3 out 4 times? The stats are a bit skewed because Boller has not has as many attemps as McNair. While I have pointed out a play here or there where I though Billick had a questionable call, I don't think we can blame this on Billick, at least as Boller's stats suggest.
The truth is we have a productive offensive between the 20's. Yesterday we had a 300 yard passer, a 100 yard rusher and we did not punt! But we scored 13 points??? The main problem with the team and that includes the defense is this damn red zone offense...and it seems to be more about McNair.

Actually you can blame boller's one missed attempt on playcalling. We played for the fieldgoal in the Jets game by running musa up the middle on 3rd and long in the redzone.

Where is Willis McGahee in the redzone?
Where is the play action?
Where is the shotgun formation WITH a running back?
Again, most teams run wide in the redzone and throw to the middle of the field....Billick does the opposite MOST of the time.
When heap scored from Boller vs Cincy...it was in the middle....when Mason scored last week vs AZ...it was in the middle. When Boller tossed to WM it was a play action and WM was wide open on a little toss.
The offense is still so predictable.

To continue this...
Where is the pitchout that Jamal used to run so well? We have a new guy who can get outside and we've used this ZERO times in four games.
Where is the QB rollout in the red zone?

Huh?
When McNair threw to Williams on a fade yesterday, and missed, it was the back left corner. In Cincy, when Boller hit Mason on a key 3d (4th?) down conversion in the red zone, it was in front of the right corner of the end zone. Play calls away from the middle of the field, both of them.
I understand you are on a mission here, but try to keep it a little closer to reality. . .

what are you talking about festivus? I didn't say EVERY single play should be in the middle...but most teams work different areas than we do....and that's play calling. Every fade to the corner of the endzone yesterday wasn't even close. And we never run wide inside the 10 when WM has the speed to get outside.
Look at the TD by Jaravisious yesterday...in the middle of the field. My point is obvious.

To you. Not to me. That's fine, I don't claim to understand everything.
