I think I now know why Darling will never make this team as a receiver. There were two passes from Boller to Darling where Darling didn't even go after the balls? One ball was thrown into an area where there were three Falcon defenders and if Boller throws it directly to Darling it is probably picked off. To me it looked like Boller saw this and underthrew on purpose to a "soft spot" but Darling didn't adjust his pattern to catch a catchable ball. There was a second ball thrown where he did the same thing. On Moore's catch, you could see Moore's adjustment to Boller throwing the ball to a softer spot in the defense and the catch was made. Darling seems disinterested or clueless.

It is intersting to see McGahee get the ball into open field. He so different than Jamal. There was a run on first down for about six yards that went to the right. Once in the 2nd layer of defense, McGahee didn't lower a shoulder but veered off the defender much more like Dickerson used to run. I have been so used to watching Jamal just lower the boom that it seemed odd. McGahee runs effortlessly.

Good observations, this is why a lot of criticism QB's receive is unwarranted. A lot of times they purposely don't throw the ball "to" the WR but in another location so the WR can go and get it. Thats why good WRs are valuable because they have a knack for these things. Peyton and his WR's have this down to a science which makes it that much harder to cover them.

Completely off topic but I've always wanted to ask... RavensDomination, what is your gripe with the Marching Ravens?

And D. Williams is one of those receivers who will go out and make that catch! Boller has had no one that would really play fetch..JMO:D
