Dear Ravens Roosts, Ravens Nests & Poe's Crows,
Your passion for the Baltimore Ravens and the NFL amazes me! It bonds you together and despite the many economic, ethnic and cultural differences among you, the Ravens more so than any other sports team in this area since the Colts, bring you together as one no less than 17 weeks per year.
Relative strangers prior to Art Modell's decision to move to Baltimore, you join together as brothers and sisters for that little slice of purple heaven that removes you from your daily grind and takes you to a place where you enthusiastically embrace the thrill of victory and commiserate together over the agony of defeat.
As a byproduct of your collective passion as fans, other even more noteworthy and when it comes down to it, more important activities and events have emerged. You've formed clubs that aren't just about good times. They are about community involvement, giving to worthy causes and helping folks less fortunate than yourselves or your clubs.
Time and time again I hear of wonderful stories and random acts of kindness in the community that start from your groups. A child can celebrate Christmas because you care; when there's a patient in need, you step up; when the folks at Maryland Special Olympics call, you answer with enthusiasm.
You came together as fans with something in common and have evolved into philanthropic groups that touch and help lives. Some might say that football is just a game and to some extent that is true. Yet as a result of that game, you make a difference in the world of children, bring a smile to the face of an ailing brother and help those who are physically or mentally disabled feel gifted.
I must admit that when I first heard of groups like yours, I thought the intent was nothing more than organizing tailgates or road trips for Ravens games. But then I got to know many of you and I learned that it was infinitely more significant than that. I was once ignorant of your purpose but fortunately I'm now enlightened.
But there are many others within Ravenstown that aren't as enlightened and we at ProFootball24x7.com want to help change that. We want to offer our hand and a vehicle to help you launch your message. Not just a global message about all of you collectively. We want to help each and every Roost, Nest and the Poe's Crows tell their individual story. If Ravens Roost 50 visited an orphanage and donated bicycles, we want to know about it, report it and celebrate your happy deeds. If Ravens Nest 14 visits a shelter and offers food and clothing to those less fortunate, we want to capture that.
We want to capture it right on this very page dedicated to your efforts.
Start sending us your ideas, your stories, your pictures and your planned events today and let us know how we can assist your group's cause right here on ProFootball24x7.com. We want to tell your story with the same passion that inspires you to live it!
Don't wait! Let the worthy causes and the good times roll!
FINDER'S FEE PROGRAM
We would like to introduce a new program that can help raise money for your organization or your chosen charity or an individual member of your organization. It's a Finder's Fee Program. We are seeking new sponsors and I have to believe that the many members of your groups have businesses or know of businesses that require advertising. Our ads will be very cost effective, very visual and extremely interactive. We can even build out a web page for FREE for those businesses that don't have one. If they are looking to improve their site, we can help there as well.
For every lead that produces a new client, we will make a donation to the charity of your choice or to an individual provided the lead turns into an actual sponsor.
The plan is simple! Whatever we collect up front (defined as the Initial Receivable) we will pay the chosen recipient 15% of that amount.
For example, if you provide a lead that results in a new sponsor that opts for a ProFootball24x7.com home page prime banner ad for 26 weeks and the weekly rate is $110.00, then that would result in total receivables of $2,860.00. If the customer pays that in advance, we would issue a finder's fee check for $429.00.
If the sponsor chooses to pay monthly in advance instead, a finder's fee will still be paid although it will be paid incrementally and the fee percentage will fall to 10% of the receivable after the initial receivable. For example, using the same home page prime banner ad as the one above and assuming a monthly advance payment plan that commences August 1, 2006 the receivables and the corresponding fee would be as follows:
- August 1 ~ 5 weeks @ $110.00 per week = $550.00 x 15% = $82.50 Finder's Fee
- September 1 ~ 5 weeks @ $110.00 per week = $550.00 x 10% = $55.00 Finder's Fee
- October 1 ~ 5 weeks @ $110.00 per week = $550.00 x 10% = $55.00 Finder's Fee
- November 1 ~ 5 weeks @ $110.00 per week = $550.00 x 10% = $55.00 Finder's Fee
- December 1 ~ 6 weeks @ $110.00 per week = $660.00 x 10% = $66.00 Finder's Fee
Total Finder's Fee through this monthly payment plan schedule = $313.50.
This is a great way to help us help you and your chosen charities. Thank you very much for your time and consideration. If you have any questions, please drop me a note: tl@profootball24x7.com.
Rave On,
Tony Lombardi
